Approach
Dr Berdie utilizes an approach which emphasizes the interaction of our biology, how events we have experienced shape us, and how we have learned ways of responding to the world in light of these realities. Importantly, therapy helps identify the thoughts and behaviors causing or exacerbating the symptoms which you are experiencing whether depression, anxiety, problems with others at home or work, etc. Frequently these issues are rooted in expectations and habits which are the result of earlier experiences. Understanding this connection may allow you to recognize your triggers to nonconstructive thoughts and fears and provide tools to prevent the anxiety, anger, fear and depression which may often occur. Together, you will work to define more productive responses in order to allow you to develop a more positive life.
Moreover, Dr Berdie's management experience can be extremely helpful in dealing with work stress whether regards conflict, assuming new management experiences, or adapting to a new organization.
